Frequently Asked Questions

Standard one hour classes cost £6* each and are billed half-termly via invoice.

(* this is the current cost and is subject to change. Elite Squad, Fairlight School only classes and short classes are charged differently)

All KLH Dance classes are currently held at Fairlight School, with the exception of Tuesday Jazz/Cheer which are held at Elm Grove School.

KLH uniform is available, but it is not compulsory. Any clothes suitable for movement are fine. We would recommend leggings/joggers/dance shorts and a comfortable top.

We strongly recommend that all dancers in jazz classes purchase a pair of jazz shoes. These can be found cheaply on eBay and often in charity shops.

Competitative squads are by invitation/audition only. We would recommend that your child join the standard class relevant to their age group first.

We highly recommend that all of our squad dancers take the KLH technique class,  in order to improve their range of motion, flexibility and strength. 

There is always a summer showcase and a Christmas Showcase. These usually take place in the first weekend of July and the first weekend of December (subject to venue availability).

The showcases are not compulsory and there is no requirement to take part in them in your child doesn't want to. However the term leading up to the events will be spent learning the showcase dances, so your child may end up doing something slightly different in class, or be positioned strategically in a dance due to this.

KLH will provide as much costume as possible from our existing stock, however from time to time we may ask you to provide items. We will try to ensure that these are easily available and/or as cheap as possible.

Almost all information will be sent to you via email, so please do ensure you have our email address saved as one of your favourites to avoid important infomation going into spam/junk folders. We also have a private page on our website which holds all the costume information for each showcase. This is available via login only which you will need to set up.
